Indo International Premier Kabbadi League Launched

The New Kabbadi Federation of India (NKFI) launched the Indo International Premier Kabbadi League on September 19, 2018. The league will have over 1000 Indian and International players and will start on January 26, 2019. Featuring 8 teams, namely Bengaluru Rhinos, Chennai Cheetahs, Delhi Dumars, Telangana Bulls, Patna Panthers, Haryana Hurricanes, Mumbai Marathas, and Kolkata Tigers, each team will have 2 to 3 international players.


Delhi Woman Breaks Record in Swimming

Delhi woman, 36 year old Richa Mishra, gave an outstanding performance at the Glenmark 72nd National Senior Aquatic Championship held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Richa became the first Indian female swimmer to go under the five-minute barrier in the women's 400m individual medley on September 20, 2018.


FIFA Rankings, 2 Teams at No.1

The FIFA Ranking of 2018 have 2 teams sharing the top slot for the first time in FIFA Rankings history. France and Belgium have emerged as the joint leaders in the rankings. Brazil, Croatia, Uruguay, England, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, and Denmark make the rest of the top 10.


Tamil Nadu Tennis Association Gets a New President

Vijay Amritraj was elected as the new president of the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association (TNTA) on September 20, 2018. This was announced at the 96th AGM of the association in Chennai. He will be serving a 3 year term until 2021.


Bronze for India at Junior World Wrestling Championship

Indian Anshu Malik won the bronze medal at the Junior World Wrestling Championship in the 59 kg category in Slovakia on September 20, 2018. Anshu lost the semi final to Sae Nanjo of Japan but defeated Alina Kazymova of Russia, 11-5 for the bronze.
