According to the announcement made by IIT Delhi, JEE Advance 2020 will be held on May 17. The JEE exam will be held in India as well as abroad. The examination will be conducted under the guidance of the Joint Administration Board (JAB). As JEE is considered as a prestigious and difficult examination, several candidates enrol for the same throughout the year. For JEE 2020, instead of 2.4 lac students, 2.5 lac students will be eligible. According to the decisions taken by the committee for JEE 2020, for the first time ever, the exam will be conducted in San Francisco, USA.

Prof V Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT Delhi announced that a collective decision regarding conducting JEE at 5 international centres is taken in order to encourage the cultural diversity at all the 23 IITs in India. 

The JEE Advance 2020 examination will be conducted in Dubai (UAE), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Kathmandu (Nepal), Singapore and Columbia (Sri Lanka), San Francisco (USA).

JEE Advance exam will consist of 2 papers. Both the papers will be conducted on the same day in 2 slots. The first paper for JEE (Advanced) is scheduled for 17 May, 2020 from 9 am to 12 pm. The second paper will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
