CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is a national level entrance examination conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The CMAT is a three hour computer based test which is conducted in a single session. This test facilitates Institutes to select Graduate candidates for admission in all suitable Management Programs for the academic year (2017-2018). The CMAT Score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University/Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicant must be a citizen of India.
  2. Graduates in any discipline can apply for CMAT exam.
  3. Final Year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2017-18 can also apply for CMAT online exam.
  4. There is no age restriction for CMAT exam.

  • Open the official website of AICTE i.e www.aicte-cmat.in
  • Find the link for “New Registration” and click on it.
  • Follow the given instructions, accept the declaration and proceed.
  • Fill up the details as per the field specified in the self registration form.
  • Once, the registration process completes a Unique 6 digit password will be sent to your registered email-id.
  • whenever you wish to login to the registration portal, you will come as an EXISTING USER and login with the e-mail id and this password.
  • After completing  application form with requisite details proceed for payment.

CMAT syllabus is split into the following sections:

  • Language Comprehension - Questions on reading comprehension, sectence correction, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms etc.
  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation - Questions from Number Systems, HCF, LCM, profit loss, percentages and discounts, ages,Tables, Bar, Pie Charts, Venn Diagram etc.
  • Logical Reasoning - Questions on Analogies, Similarities, Decision Making, Problem-Solving, Series, Arithmetical Reasoning etc.
  • General Awareness - Current Affairs – National & International, History – India & World, Indian Economy, Indian Geography, Indian Constitution, Indian Culture & Heritage, Indian Polity.
