Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, as the name suggests is a common entrance exam conducted for admission to the B.Tech programmes in the state. Around 4 lakh students who apply for the exam every year.
The examination will be conducted in a computer based mode consisting of 2 papers viz. Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry).
There are 50 questions in each paper along with 90 minutes for each paper.
2 marks will be allotted for each correct answer in Paper I and 1 mark will be allotted for each answer in Paper II. Please note that there is no negative marking for any of the questions.

This examination consists of 2 papers.
1. Paper I consisting of 50 questions of Mathematics from Class 11th & 12th Syllabus carrying 2 marks each.
2. Paper II consisting of 50 questions of Chemistry & Physics each from Class 11th & 12th Syllabus carrying 1 mark each.
