NEET

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) has replaced AIPMT and has been made mandatory for aspirants seeking to get admission in all-India medical/dental institutes. NEET-UG 2017 exam will be held on May 7, 2017(Sunday). Medical & dental aspirants are advised to keep a regular check on the website i.e cbseneet.nic.in .

 

NEET UG – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Undergraduate course/program will be conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) for candidates aiming to get admission into MBBS/BDS courses. The exam will be held in 8 languages namely (Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu and Tamil, English, Hindi).

NEET PG- National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Postgraduate program/course will be conducted by NBE (National Board of Examinations) for candidates looking to get admission intoMS/MD/PG Diploma Courses.

Eligibility criteria

  1. He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on orbefore 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

  2. The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 yearsas on 31 st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. Candidate must born on or between.

  3. A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th Standard in 2017 whose result is awaited, may apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of Counselling.

*(Candidates qualifying for NEET will be eligible to an all-India quota and other quotas under the state governments/ institutes, irrespective of the medium in which the exam is taken by the candidate.)

 

How to apply

Aspirants who are interested in applying to medical colleges – both state and private medical colleges are required to fill the NEET Application Form 2017. The application form for NEET UG 2017 exam would be online and might require an Aadhaar Card number.

  • Open the official website of NEET-2017 i.e  cbseneet.nic.in

  • Download the Information Bulletin. Read the Instructions carefully to understand the desired eligibility criteria and other requirements for submission of application online.

  • Go to the link “Apply On-line” and open the same.

  • Fill in the online Application Form.

  • Fill up the details as per the field specified in the form, note down the registration number.

  • Upload scanned images of photograph, signature and Right Hand Index Finger hand thumb impression in JPEG format.

  • After completing the application form with requisite details proceed for payment ( fee through Debit/Credit Card/ e-Challan/Net Banking/e-wallet (CSC).

  • Take print out of the application format for future reference along with copy of proof of fee deposited

Information on Admit Card

Aspirants who wish to pursue MBBS/BDS courses in Medical/Dental colleges can will be able to download the admit cards from the Official website of NEET-UG 2017 i.e  cbseneet.nic.in .  Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition till admission in Medical/ Dental Colleges is over.

AIIMS

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has started the application process for the MBBS admissions for the academic session 2017. The exam is scheduled to be held on May 28, 2017 (Sunday). Medical aspirants can apply latest by February 23 on the official website i.e mbbs.aiimsexams.org/#!

Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for AIIMS MBBS Medical Examination 2017 

  1. All the candidates interested in applying need to be intermediate (class 12) passed from a recognized state board or Intermediate Science (ISc) or an equivalent examination board of with English, physics, chemistry and biology as subject.
  2. Also, candidates must have secured a minimum of 60 per cent in aggregate.
  3. Minimum age of the candidate must be 17 years.
  4. Candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying examination are eligible to apply.

  • Click on MBBS course under the undergraduate category.
  • Select MBBS 2017

NEET Syllabus is split into the following sections:

Biology(Botany and Zoology) -  Diversity in Living World, Reproduction, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, Genetics and Evolution, Cell Structure and Function etc.

Physics - Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Electrstatics, Current Electricity, Optics, Magnetic Effects, Electromagnetic Effects etc.

Chemistry - Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Solid State, Structure Of Atom, Solutions, Equilibrium, p- Block Elements, d and f Block Elements, Hydrocarbons, Polymers etc.

AIIMS  Syllabus is split into the following sections:

Physics – Circular Motion, Elecricity, electro-magnetic induction, electronic devices, kinetic theory of gases, measurement, motion, nuclear physics, Physics of the atom, Solids, Wave motion – optics.

Chemistry – Molecule and Chemical Bond, Periodic properties of Elements, Structure of atom, Organic chemistry, chemistry of elements and compounds, Physical chemistry, Chemical Equilibrium, Energetic, States of Matter. 

Biology (Botany & Zoology) – Anatomy and Physiology, development biology, diversity of animal life, genetics and evolution, histology, botany and human welfare,  Internal and external regulators of growth and development in plants, Internal structure of dicot and monocot leaves photosynthesis, Internal structure of dicot and monocot roots, Internal structure of stem and secondary growth, Transpiration and respiration, Tropic and turgor movements, Xylem and Phloem-their cell elements and functions.

General Knowledge /Aptitude – Important current affairs, Science etc.
